Injecting fillers is a method to treat wrinkles and deep lines on the face by injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers into the skin layers that have started to deteriorate and sag with age. Fillers will make the facial skin smooth and firm again, making the face look younger. Additionally, the water-retaining properties of fillers help increase moisture, make the skin radiant, and slow down the formation of future wrinkles.

How Many Days Until Fillers Show Results and How Long is the Swelling?
Normally, after injecting fillers, you can see changes immediately. The swelling gradually subsides in about 4-5 days, and the clear results become apparent in about 2-3 weeks. There may be side effects from the injection, such as rashes or red spots at the needle site, which can go away on their own. Additionally, post-injection swelling is normal. If there is pain, the patient can take pain relief medication as needed.
Results of Filler Injections
The results of Hyaluronic Acid filler injections can last approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on the brand of filler used and the individual’s self-care methods.
Which Areas Can Be Treated with Fillers at Pruksa Clinic?
Under-Eye Fillers
Under-eye fillers are a method to treat wrinkles and hollows under the eyes, address under-eye bags, and dark circles by injecting fillers into the problematic areas under the eyes. This treatment makes the under-eye area fuller, eliminating wrinkles and under-eye bags. It can also solve the problem of dark circles caused by allergies, increase moisture, and make the under-eye skin look radiant and firm.
Nasolabial Fold Fillers
Deep nasolabial folds are a clear indicator of aging. After the age of 25, the nasolabial folds deepen, especially in women, making the face look older. Taking care of oneself by applying cream alone may not be sufficient. Therefore, a method that effectively addresses the problem of deep nasolabial folds, which is easy to perform and provides clear results, is the use of “nasolabial fold fillers.”
Lips Fillers
The lip filler injection program involves injecting a safe filler substance known widely as Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to enhance and shape the lips to achieve the desired fullness and beauty. It poses no danger as it dissolves completely, allowing for different lip shapes in future treatments. Additionally, injecting HA into the lips helps keep them hydrated because HA has water-retaining properties, making the injected area more moisturized and healthier-looking.
Chin Fillers
Chin fillers involve injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) into the chin area to create facial symmetry or achieve a V-shaped face. When done with the correct technique, the results can be as good as those from chin augmentation surgery. This procedure is quick and convenient, requiring no downtime, allowing you to resume your normal activities immediately after the injection. The fillers dissolve completely in 1-2 years, leaving no residues. They can be replenished continuously without deforming the chin, but it is essential to choose genuine, FDA-approved fillers and have them injected by an experienced doctor.
Temple Fillers
Injecting fillers into the temples helps fill in hollow or sunken temples, making the area look fuller, firmer, and more hydrated. This treatment helps address problems such as sunken temples, prominent cheekbones, large cheekbones, deep cheekbones, and an overall tired-looking face.
Forehead Fillers
Injecting fillers into the forehead is another way to help contour the face, achieving a beautiful and proportionate look. It is popular among those who want to enhance their facial aesthetics without surgery. The results are natural and immediately visible after the procedure.
Jawline Fillers
Jawline fillers involve injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to address issues in the lower face, such as sagging skin and a less defined jawline and neck area. The gel-like consistency of the filler allows for contouring, helping to create or enhance a clear jawline, making the face appear more dimensional and V-shaped. In many cases, this also makes the face look smaller. Jawline fillers enhance the definition of the jawline, add dimension to the face, and can create a more prominent jawline for men seeking a more rugged look.
Back of Hands Fillers
Back of Hand fillers involve injecting filler substances into the back of the hands to address various issues such as dry skin, wrinkles, and protruding veins. The skin in this area is typically thin, making veins or tendons more visible, especially due to UV exposure from sunlight or aging. Genetics can also cause thin skin from a young age. Injecting hand fillers helps reduce the visibility of veins or tendons, making the hands look healthier.
Vaginal Fillers
The vaginal filler injection program involves injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as a filler substance designed specifically for this area. The filler used for this program must have a texture that is not too hard or too soft, retains moisture, and withstands friction and impact. This injection adds volume, making the vaginal area look plump and pleasant to the touch. It also helps shape and firm the vaginal area, giving it a youthful appearance.
Skin Booster
Filler skin booster, or skin conditioning filler, involves injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers under the skin to increase moisture retention and hydration. The fillers used are small-molecule fillers with a fine and lightweight texture that distribute well within the skin. Due to the properties of HA, which can attract water molecules and stimulate collagen production, the skin treated with a filler skin booster appears dewy, plump, smooth, and more elastic, giving the impression that the skin is continuously nourished.

Pre-Filler Injection Guidelines
- Discontinue the use of topical exfoliants, waxing, aspirin, and NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, and ponstan) one week before the procedure. Consult your primary doctor before stopping any medication.
- Avoid vitamins and supplements such as St. John’s Wort, ginkgo biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E one week before the procedure.
- Refrain from drinking alcohol 24 hours prior.
- Avoid activities that increase blood flow.
- If you have any chronic illnesses or take regular medications, prepare this information to inform the doctor before the procedure.
- Ensure you have no known allergies to hyaluronic acid or glycerin.
- Ensure you are not pregnant.
- If you are breastfeeding or have bleeding disorders, consult your primary doctor before getting the injection.
Post-Filler Injection Care
- Avoid touching, scratching, rubbing, and massaging the injection site. It is normal to experience swelling, redness, or bruising, which will gradually improve in 2-3 days.
- Stay in a cool environment and avoid all forms of heat and activities that cause facial redness for at least 48 hours, such as saunas, strenuous exercise, and sun exposure.
- Refrain from using any deep-heating lasers on the skin for at least one month.
- Do not move the treated area excessively, especially in the first 3 days, as this may cause the filler to shift.
- Avoid certain foods that can cause inflammation, swelling, and slow down the settling of the filler, such as:
- All types of alcoholic beverages
- Foods prepared in hot cooking areas, like barbecue or shabu-shabu
- Fermented foods, extremely spicy foods that cause facial redness, overly sweet foods, and raw foods from unclean establishments
- Avoid smoking, as it can slow down the reduction of swelling and shorten the treatment’s effectiveness.

This ensures the HA substance maintains its stability, making it easy for doctors to work with, and allowing for easy injection during procedures to fill the target areas naturally. - Purification
